HELMOS Organic oak honey

Description

Organic oak honey is produced by the Soukas family in Kalavryta, at an altitude of 500–1,200 meters. Oak honey is one of the honeydew honeys, meaning that it is produced from the secretions of honeydew-producing insects that live on the bark of oak trees.

Flavor:

It is not particularly sweet. It is usually a dark-colored honey with a distinctive aroma and a rich, full-bodied taste.

Crystallization:

It crystallizes slowly due to its natural properties.

In Greece, oak honey has become widely known only in recent years, mainly because Greek consumers have traditionally preferred clear and very fluid honeys. However, its beneficial properties are well known to people in Scandinavian countries, Central Europe, and Russia, where it is highly appreciated and preferred.
