HELMOS Organic pine honey
Description
Organic pine honey is produced by the Soukas family in the pine forests of Arcadia in the Peloponnese and in Evia, at altitudes ranging from 800 to 1,300 meters. It is harvested both in spring, from April to May, and in autumn, from September to October.
Flavor:
Due to its low sugar concentration, it is not overly sweet.
Aroma:
Distinctive. Some people compare its aroma to that of iodine.
Color:
Pine honey has a characteristic color and is darker than thyme honey. The honey produced in spring is lighter in color and clearer than the honey produced in autumn.
Crystallization:
Pine honey crystallizes very slowly, as its natural glucose content is low. More specifically, pure pine honeys remain fluid, without crystallizing, for more than a year and a half.
